Serving Oxford

A cracked molar on a Sunday, a denture that stopped fitting right, a teenager who needs wisdom teeth out before school starts — these are the kinds of things Oxford families call us about, and they're the reason we built our practice the way we did. We keep a dental lab on site, which means crowns, dentures, and denture repairs can often happen in a single visit instead of stretching across weeks. For patients driving over from Oxford, fewer trips matters.
We've practiced general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry in Ocala for more than 30 years, and Oxford has been part of our patient community for a long stretch of that. Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris see patients of all ages — toddlers getting their first exam, working adults squeezing in a cleaning, retirees planning tooth replacement. Our hygienist handles preventive visits, and we keep room in the schedule for emergency dental appointments because dental problems rarely wait for a convenient day.
Being a member of the FDA and the Central Florida District Dental Association keeps us connected to the broader dental community in this part of the state. What that means day to day for Oxford patients is straightforward: we stay current, we talk plainly about what we find, and we explain options before anyone commits to treatment.
Most of what a family needs, we handle under one roof. That includes routine care — exams, cleanings, fluoride treatment, sealants, oral cancer screenings — and the restorative work that follows when something goes wrong: fillings, crowns, onlays, bridges, and composite bonding. We also provide space maintainers for children and night guards or sports guards for patients who grind or play contact sports.
Beyond general care, we offer treatment that often sends patients to several different offices elsewhere. We perform root canal therapy on anterior teeth, premolars, and molars, including retreatments, and we treat cracked teeth and traumatic dental injuries. We handle simple and surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and sinus lift surgery. On the gum side, we provide scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, gum grafting, periodontal regeneration, crown lengthening, gingivectomy, and cosmetic gum contouring. We place dental implants and provide implant maintenance afterward.
- Tooth replacement: single implants, implant-supported bridges, All-on-4 and full-arch implants, Teeth In A Day, snap-in and implant-supported dentures, plus complete and partial dentures
- Cosmetic care: porcelain and composite veneers, in-office and take-home teeth whitening, smile-design consultations, full mouth rehabilitation
- Orthodontics: Invisalign and clear aligners for children and adults, transfer patients welcome, and retainers for patients who finished treatment elsewhere
- Jaw and facial pain: TMJ/TMD therapy, evaluation of jaw clicking, locking, or limited movement, jaw-related headaches, and chronic facial pain
- Comfort options: nitrous oxide and oral sedation, plus laser dentistry where appropriate
Why Oxford Families Keep Coming Back
The on-site lab is the practical difference most patients notice first. When a denture cracks or a crown comes loose, we aren't mailing anything out and waiting. Repairs and replacements are made here, and that shortens the gap between the problem and the fix — especially valuable when you're coming from Oxford rather than around the corner.
The second difference is that we accept patients without a referral for endodontic, oral surgery, periodontal, prosthodontic, and orofacial pain care. You don't need a gatekeeper appointment just to get a root canal evaluated or an implant consultation scheduled. If a problem turns out to need more than a filling, we usually continue care with the same team, in the same chair, with the same records in front of us.
Insurance, Payment, and Planning Ahead
We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and for specialty-type treatment such as endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and orofacial pain, we file claims as a General Practitioner. We're glad to walk Oxford patients through what their plan covers before treatment begins so there are no surprises.
We also welcome self-pay and cash patients, and we offer flexible payment plans for larger treatment like full mouth reconstruction or full arch implants. Many patients phase bigger plans over time, and we'll help map out a sequence that addresses urgent issues first.
