Picture someone who has been nursing a failing upper arch for years — a few loose teeth, a bridge that keeps coming off, a partial denture that no longer fits the way it used to. Eating a sandwich has become a calculation. That person comes in expecting months of being without teeth, and we get to explain that in many cases, the failing teeth can come out and a fixed set of replacement teeth can go in during the same visit. That's the heart of Teeth In A Day, and for a lot of our patients in Ocala it changes the whole conversation about what's possible.
Teeth In A Day is a full-arch implant treatment. Instead of replacing one tooth at a time, we place a set of dental implants into the jawbone and attach a full arch of fixed teeth to them during the same appointment. The implants act as anchors, so the new teeth are held in place rather than resting on the gums. Patients often know this approach by related names — All-on-4 dental implants, full arch dental implants, or implant-supported bridges — and we offer those options alongside implant-supported and snap-in dentures when a removable design is the better fit.
The people this helps most are those facing the loss of an entire arch, or already living without one. That includes patients with advanced gum disease that has loosened multiple teeth, people with extensive decay or old restorations that keep failing, and longtime denture wearers who are tired of adhesive, sore spots, and a plate covering the roof of the mouth. We also see patients who have simply avoided dentistry for years and are ready to start over with a plan that handles everything at once instead of stretching treatment across endless appointments.
A thorough evaluation comes first, because this is a surgical and restorative procedure and the planning matters more than the speed. We look at bone volume and quality, gum health, bite, and how the arches relate to one another. Bone is the most common question: if there isn't enough to support implants in a given area, we offer bone grafting and sinus lift surgery to build a stable foundation. Sometimes that means a staged plan rather than a single-day result, and we'd rather say that upfront than promise something the anatomy won't support.
Active gum disease is addressed as part of the plan as well, through scaling and root planing, gum disease treatment, or periodontal surgery when needed. We handle extractions here — simple and surgical — so the teeth being removed and the implants being placed are managed by the same team on the same day. For patients who feel anxious about any of this, we offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation dentistry, and we talk through comfort options before the day arrives rather than at the last minute.
One detail that genuinely shapes how we deliver this treatment is our on-site dental lab. Having the lab in the building means fabrication, adjustments, and repairs happen under our roof instead of being shipped out and waited on. It's the same capability that lets us do same-day crowns, dentures, and denture repairs, and it gives us real control over fit and appearance during full-arch cases.
Healing, Aftercare, and Living With Your New Teeth
The first stretch after surgery is about protecting the implants while the bone integrates around them. That typically means a softer diet, careful cleaning around the new teeth, and follow-up visits so we can check healing and make adjustments. Swelling and tenderness in the early days are normal parts of recovery, and we give specific instructions rather than general advice.
Long term, implant-supported teeth need maintenance just like natural teeth. Our hygienists provide implant maintenance and periodontal maintenance, and regular exams let us monitor the gum tissue and the restoration itself. If something chips, loosens, or needs refinement years down the road, the lab is still right here. And because we see emergencies and offer same-day emergency appointments, you're not left guessing if an urgent problem comes up.
Cost, Insurance, and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims as a general practice, and we welcome self-pay and cash patients. Full-arch treatment is a significant investment, so we offer flexible payment plans and go over the numbers in writing before anything begins.
