All-on-X Dental Implants in Weirsdale

If you're in Weirsdale and dealing with a mouth full of failing teeth, a denture that slips at dinner, or years of patching one tooth after another, you've probably wondered whether there's a way to start over without going through dozens of separate procedures. There is. Full arch implant treatment — often called All-on-X, and offered here as All-on-4 Dental Implants — replaces an entire upper or lower arch of teeth on a small number of implants. It's one of the main reasons Weirsdale patients make the short drive to our Ocala office, where we've been doing general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry for more than 30 years.
All-on-4 works on a simple idea: you don't need an implant for every missing tooth. Four implants, positioned at angles that take advantage of the densest available bone, can support a full fixed bridge of replacement teeth. Because the back implants are tilted, we can often avoid the thinner bone at the rear of the jaw that would otherwise require extensive grafting. The result is a set of teeth that stays in your mouth — you brush them, you don't soak them in a cup, and they don't move when you eat.
This differs from a conventional denture in a way most patients feel immediately. A traditional denture rests on gum tissue and relies on suction or adhesive. A full arch implant bridge is anchored to the bone itself, so biting force travels through the implants the way it once traveled through natural roots. We also offer implant-supported dentures and snap-in dentures for patients who want a removable option with far better stability, along with implant-supported bridges for smaller spans. Part of your consultation is deciding which of these actually fits your mouth, your health, and your budget.
Most people who've lost most of their teeth in one arch, or who are told their remaining teeth can't be saved, are reasonable candidates. We see Weirsdale patients in several recurring situations: advanced gum disease that has loosened multiple teeth, long-standing dentures that no longer fit as the jaw has changed shape, repeated root canals and crowns that keep failing, or a mouth where extractions have been put off for years.
Bone volume matters, and so does gum health. We evaluate both before recommending anything. If bone is insufficient in a given area, we perform bone grafting and sinus lift surgery in our office, which keeps full arch treatment on the table for people who've been told elsewhere that implants weren't an option. Active gum disease is treated first — we provide scaling and root planing, periodontal surgery, and gum grafting — because healthy tissue is what keeps implants stable long term.
What the Process Looks Like
Treatment begins with an exam, imaging, and a conversation about what you want your teeth to look like and do. We also offer cosmetic smile-design consultations, which matter here: we're building an entire smile, so shape, shade, and tooth position are decisions, not defaults.
Surgery day typically includes removing any remaining teeth in the arch, placing the implants, and attaching a provisional set of fixed teeth. That's the Teeth In A Day approach — you leave with teeth. Our on-site dental lab is central to how we deliver this, since it lets us fabricate and adjust restorations without shipping work out and waiting. For anxiety or longer appointments, we offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation.
- A consultation with imaging and a review of bone, gums, and overall dental health
- Any needed preparatory work, such as bone grafting, sinus lift, or gum disease treatment
- Implant placement with extractions as needed, usually in a single surgical visit
- A provisional fixed bridge placed the same day in most cases
- A healing period while the implants integrate with the bone
- Fitting of your final restoration, made and adjusted with help from our on-site lab
Aftercare and Keeping Your Implants Healthy
The first several days involve soft foods, prescribed care instructions, and follow-up visits so we can check healing and adjust your bite. Once you've healed, daily cleaning around and under the bridge is the single most important habit — we show you exactly how, with the tools that work for your specific restoration.
Long term, you'll come in for implant maintenance and periodontal maintenance visits with our hygienist. We check the implants, the gum tissue, and the restoration itself, and we handle repairs in-house when needed.
Insurance, Payment, and Scheduling from Weirsdale
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay and cash patients. Flexible payment plans are available, and we'll go over costs in plain numbers before treatment begins.
Weirsdale patients don't need a referral to be seen for implant or surgical care, and we offer emergency appointments if a tooth breaks or an existing denture fails. Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris see patients of all ages, so the rest of your family can be treated here too.
