All-on-X Dental Implants in Ocala

Losing most or all of your teeth changes everyday life in ways that are hard to ignore — avoiding certain foods, covering your mouth when you laugh, dealing with a denture that shifts at the wrong moment. All-on-X dental implants were designed to solve that problem at its root by anchoring a full arch of replacement teeth to implants placed in the jawbone. Here in Ocala, we offer the All-on-4 approach, and we handle the planning, surgery, and the final teeth in one office, with our on-site dental lab just down the hall.
All-on-X is a shorthand for full-arch tooth replacement supported by a set number of dental implants — the "X" stands for how many implants are used to carry the arch. The version we provide is All-on-4, which uses four strategically positioned implants per arch to support a full set of fixed teeth. Instead of resting on the gums like a traditional denture, the new arch is secured to the implants, so it stays put when you eat, speak, and laugh.
The angle and placement of those four implants matter. Positioning them to take advantage of the denser bone available often allows us to support a full arch without placing an implant for every missing tooth. For patients who have been told they lack bone volume, we also offer bone grafting and sinus lift surgery as part of the overall plan when the situation calls for it. Because we also provide implant-supported dentures, implant-supported bridges, and conventional complete and partial dentures, the conversation always starts with what fits your mouth and your goals — not with one predetermined answer.
Most people who come to us about All-on-4 fall into a few familiar groups: they are facing the loss of a failing upper or lower arch, they have advanced gum disease that has loosened their remaining teeth, or they have worn a removable denture for years and are tired of adhesive and sore spots. Severe wear, repeated fractures, and long-neglected decay also bring patients to this conversation.
Candidacy depends on your bone, your gum health, and your overall health. We evaluate the jaw, assess any gum disease that needs treatment first, and determine whether grafting would strengthen the foundation. If a full arch is not the right fit, we can talk through single dental implants, bridges, crowns, or partial dentures instead. Reasons patients choose this route include:
- Fixed teeth that do not come out for cleaning or slip while eating
- No need to replace every missing tooth with its own implant
- A single office for extractions, surgery, and the final restoration
- An on-site lab that keeps fabrication and adjustments close by
- A plan that can include bone grafting or a sinus lift when needed
What the Treatment Process Looks Like
Treatment begins with an exam, imaging, and a discussion of what you want your smile to do for you — chew comfortably, look natural, or both. Our cosmetic smile-design consultations are part of that planning when appearance is a priority. From there we map out the sequence: any remaining teeth that need to come out, whether simple or surgical extractions are required, and whether grafting comes first or happens at the same visit.
On surgery day, we remove the teeth that need removing, place the four implants, and attach a provisional arch so you leave with teeth — the approach often described as Teeth in a Day. For comfort, we offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation. After a healing period during which the implants integrate with the bone, we move to the final arch. Having a lab on site means fabrication, fitting, and adjustments happen without shipping work across the state.
Aftercare, Insurance, and Getting Started in Ocala
The first weeks focus on healing: soft foods, gentle cleaning around the implants, and follow-up visits so we can check your progress. Long term, implants need upkeep — we provide implant maintenance and periodontal maintenance, and our hygienists will show you how to clean under and around a fixed arch. Night guards are available if clenching or grinding puts your new teeth at risk. If anything ever feels off, we offer emergency dental appointments rather than making you wait.
We accept all major PPO insurance plans, welcome self-pay patients, and offer flexible payment plans so a full-arch case can be budgeted over time. We'll go over what your plan covers before treatment starts. Our team — Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris — has served Ocala families for more than 30 years, and we see patients of all ages from Ocala and the surrounding Marion County communities. Call us to schedule a consultation and find out whether All-on-4 is the right fit.
