Teeth In A Day in McIntosh

Imagine a McIntosh patient who has been managing a failing set of teeth for years — a loose partial, a few cracked molars, an upper denture that never quite stayed put. Eating has become a negotiation, and smiling in photos feels like something to avoid. Teeth In A Day was designed for exactly that situation: a way to move from struggling teeth to a fixed, implant-supported smile in a single surgical appointment, without months of going without teeth in between.
Teeth In A Day is a full-arch implant treatment. We place a set of dental implants in the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both, and attach a fixed temporary bridge to those implants the same day. You walk out with teeth that are secured to your jaw rather than resting on your gums. This is often performed using an All-on-4 style approach, where a small number of strategically angled implants support a complete arch of replacement teeth.
The "in a day" part refers to the teeth, not the entire treatment. The implants need several months to fuse with the bone, and during that healing period you wear the fixed temporary bridge and eat a modified diet. Once healing is complete, we design and deliver your final restoration. Because we have an on-site dental lab, much of that fabrication and adjustment work happens in our building rather than being shipped out, which gives us tighter control over fit, shade, and timing — something McIntosh patients appreciate when it means fewer separate trips down to Ocala.
Good candidates are usually people who are missing most or all of the teeth in an arch, or who have remaining teeth that cannot be saved because of advanced decay, fracture, or gum disease. Many of our Teeth In A Day patients come to us already wearing a complete or partial denture and are tired of adhesives, sore spots, and food restrictions. Others are facing a series of extractions and want to know what comes next before anything is removed.
Candidacy depends heavily on bone. We evaluate the shape and density of your jaw to determine whether implants can be placed and loaded immediately. When bone volume is limited, bone grafting or a sinus lift may be recommended first, which changes the timeline. Active gum disease is treated before implants are placed, and our periodontal care — including scaling and root planing and periodontal surgery — is handled in the same practice. If Teeth In A Day isn't the right fit, we'll say so and walk you through other options such as implant-supported dentures, snap-in dentures, or conventional dentures.
What McIntosh Patients Can Expect From the Process
Your first visit is a consultation and exam, including imaging and a conversation about your health history, medications, and what you want your smile to do for you. From there we build a written treatment plan. Surgery day typically includes any necessary extractions, implant placement, and attachment of the temporary bridge in one appointment.
- A consultation and full evaluation before anything is scheduled
- Extraction of any non-restorable teeth on the day of surgery
- Implant placement in the planned arch or arches
- A fixed temporary bridge attached the same day
- Healing visits and adjustments over the following months
- Delivery of the final implant-supported restoration
We offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation for patients who feel anxious about longer appointments, and we'll discuss which option suits you during planning. Because we provide oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics in-house, McIntosh patients aren't referred from office to office for each stage — the same team sees the case from extraction through final teeth.
Healing, Aftercare, and Long-Term Maintenance
The first week focuses on rest, soft foods, and keeping the surgical sites clean as directed. Swelling and tenderness are expected early on, and we'll see you for follow-up visits to check healing and adjust the temporary bridge. Sticking to the diet guidelines during this period genuinely protects the implants while they integrate.
Long term, implant-supported teeth need the same consistency as natural teeth. Daily cleaning around the bridge, regular hygiene visits, and implant maintenance appointments keep the surrounding tissue healthy. We also provide night guards when grinding or clenching could stress the restoration, and we evaluate jaw function if you have a history of TMJ discomfort.
Insurance, Payment, and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims as a general practice. We also welcome self-pay and cash patients, and we offer flexible payment plans so a full-arch case can be spread into manageable payments. We'll give you cost details in writing before treatment begins.
