Tooth Replacement in Lady Lake

A cracked molar that finally gives out, a front tooth lost years ago that you've learned to hide in photos, a partial denture that no longer fits the way it once did — these are the conversations we have every week with patients from Lady Lake. Missing teeth rarely stay a single-tooth problem. Neighboring teeth drift, chewing shifts to one side, and the jawbone that once supported the root slowly changes shape. Our goal is to help you understand your options clearly, without pressure, so you can choose a replacement that fits your mouth, your schedule, and your budget.
Tooth replacement is the general term for restoring one or more missing teeth with something that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth. For Lady Lake patients, that might mean a single dental implant with a crown, a bridge anchored to adjacent teeth, a partial denture that fills several gaps, or a complete denture when an entire arch needs rebuilding. We also provide implant-supported options — including implant-supported bridges, implant-supported dentures, snap-in dentures, All-on-4 and full-arch implants, and Teeth In A Day — for patients who want the stability of implants without replacing every tooth individually.
Lady Lake sits within the group of Central Florida communities we've served from our Ocala office, alongside The Villages, Summerfield, Oxford, Belleview, and Weirsdale. Many Lady Lake patients already drive into Ocala for errands and appointments, and we work to make dental visits fit that same rhythm. Because we maintain an on-site dental lab, a great deal of the fabrication work — crowns, dentures, and denture repairs — happens in our building rather than at an outside facility, which often means fewer trips and shorter waits between steps.
Most adults missing one or more teeth are candidates for some form of replacement, though the right choice depends on the condition of your gums, the amount of supporting bone, and the health of the teeth on either side of the gap. During your exam we evaluate all of this and talk through the trade-offs honestly. If gum disease is present, we address it first with scaling and root planing, periodontal treatment, or gum grafting, because healthy tissue is the foundation for anything we build on top of it.
If bone volume is limited after a tooth has been missing for a long time, that doesn't automatically rule out implants. We offer bone grafting and sinus lift surgery to rebuild support where it's needed. When a failing tooth still needs to come out, we handle simple and surgical extractions in our office, which keeps the removal and the replacement plan under one roof instead of sending you elsewhere.
- A fuller bite that distributes chewing forces more evenly
- Support for the lips and cheeks that missing teeth no longer provide
- Easier speaking and eating compared with gaps or a loose appliance
- Prevention of neighboring teeth drifting into open space
- Options that range from removable to permanently fixed
What the Process Looks Like
Your first visit is a conversation and an examination. We review your medical history, take the images we need, and map out one or more realistic paths forward with the steps and sequence spelled out. If implants are part of the plan, placement is done in our office, followed by a healing period before the final crown, bridge, or denture is attached. For bridges and crowns, we prepare the supporting teeth and use our lab to produce the restoration. For dentures, we take impressions, check fit and bite at try-in appointments, and adjust until the result feels right.
Anxiety about treatment is common, and we don't dismiss it. We offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation dentistry so that longer appointments or surgical steps are more comfortable. We treat patients of all ages, and we see emergencies — including same-day appointments for traumatic injuries and cracked teeth — so a sudden tooth loss doesn't have to wait.
Aftercare, Insurance, and Getting Started
Replacement teeth need the same care as natural ones. We'll show you how to clean around an implant or under a bridge, recommend a night guard if you grind, and schedule implant maintenance and periodontal maintenance visits to monitor the surrounding tissue. If a denture ever cracks, loosens, or wears, our lab repairs and replaces existing dentures as well.
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay patients, and we offer flexible payment plans so larger treatments can be spread out. Ocala Dental Care has practiced here for more than 30 years under Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris, and we're glad to answer questions from Lady Lake neighbors before you commit to anything.
