Implant-Supported Dentures in Lady Lake

Implant-Supported Dentures in Lady Lake

A denture that clicks firmly onto implants feels different the moment you bite down. Instead of relying on suction, adhesive, and a steady jaw, the denture is anchored to titanium posts set into the bone, so corn on the cob, a crusty sandwich, or a steak dinner stops being a calculation. For Lady Lake patients who have spent years adjusting a loose lower denture or avoiding certain foods in public, that difference is usually the whole reason they call us.

Implant-supported dentures replace a full arch of missing teeth using dental implants as the foundation. We place a series of implants in the upper or lower jaw, allow them to fuse with the bone, and then attach a denture designed to work with those anchors. Some designs snap on and off for cleaning — often called snap-in dentures — while others are fixed in place and removed only by us at your visits. Both options stop the rocking and shifting that make conventional dentures frustrating.

We also offer All-on-4 and full-arch implant treatment, including Teeth in a Day approaches, for patients who want a fixed solution. Which path fits you depends on your bone, your bite, your goals, and your budget. Lady Lake patients come to us from every starting point: some are losing their remaining teeth to advanced gum disease, some have worn complete dentures for a decade, and some have an older partial denture that no longer fits. We work with all of these situations, and our periodontal and prosthodontic services mean implant placement and denture fabrication happen under one roof.

  • Stability when you eat and speak — no slipping mid-sentence or mid-meal
  • No adhesives to reapply throughout the day
  • Bone preservation, since implants stimulate the jawbone the way natural roots do
  • A less bulky upper denture in many fixed designs, which can improve how food tastes
  • A long-term plan rather than a denture that needs relining as the jaw changes shape

Good candidates generally have enough healthy jawbone to hold implants and gums in stable condition. If you don't, that isn't the end of the conversation — we perform bone grafting and sinus lift surgery to rebuild the foundation first. If gum disease is active, we treat it with scaling and root planing, periodontal therapy, or surgery before implants go in. Patients who still have failing teeth can have simple or surgical extractions here as part of the same plan.

What the Process Looks Like

Your first visit is an exam and consultation. We review your medical history, take images to evaluate bone volume and the position of nerves and sinuses, look at your existing denture if you have one, and talk honestly about which design suits you. You'll leave knowing the sequence of appointments, the approximate timeline, and the cost before anything is scheduled.

Implant placement is a surgical appointment. We offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation for patients who feel anxious about the procedure. After placement, the implants need time to integrate with the bone, and we provide a temporary denture during healing so you're never without teeth. Once healing is confirmed, we take final impressions and records for your permanent denture. Because we have an on-site dental lab, much of the fabrication, fitting, and adjustment work happens in our own building — which shortens turnaround and means small refinements don't require waiting on an outside lab. That same lab handles denture repairs and relines down the road.

Caring for Your New Teeth

Implant-supported dentures still need daily attention. Removable designs come out for cleaning, and the gum tissue underneath gets brushed each day. Fixed designs require careful cleaning around and under the bridge with the tools we'll show you. Either way, the implants themselves can develop inflammation if plaque builds up, so professional implant maintenance visits with our hygienist matter as much as cleanings did when you had natural teeth.

We'll also check the fit of the denture, the tightness of attachments, and the condition of any snap-in components, which wear with use and are replaceable. If you grind your teeth, a night guard protects your investment.

Insurance, Payment, and Getting Started

We accept all major PPO insurance plans and self-pay patients, and we offer flexible payment plans so a full-arch case can be spread out rather than paid all at once. We'll help you understand what your plan covers before treatment begins.

Lady Lake patients have been part of our practice through more than 30 years of serving Marion and Lake County communities from our Ocala office. No referral is needed — call us to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hussein Salifu or Dr. Marco Geris and find out which implant-supported option fits your mouth and your life.
