Full Arch Dental Implants in Lady Lake

A failing upper or lower arch rarely happens overnight. For most of the Lady Lake patients we meet, it's been years in the making — a bridge that loosened, molars lost one at a time, gum disease that quietly took bone with it, or a denture that never quite stayed put. Full arch dental implants address all of that at once by replacing an entire row of teeth with a fixed set of teeth anchored to implants placed in the jaw.
Full arch dental implants use a small number of titanium implant posts — often four, as in the All-on-4 approach — to support a complete arch of replacement teeth. Instead of one implant for every missing tooth, the posts are positioned strategically, including at angles that take advantage of denser available bone. The bridge that attaches to them is fixed in place, so it doesn't come out at night and doesn't rely on adhesive or suction against the gums.
This is different from a conventional complete denture, which rests on the tissue and can shift when you eat or speak. It's also different from implant-supported dentures, which snap onto implants but are still removable for cleaning. We offer all of these options, and part of our job is helping Lady Lake patients understand the honest trade-offs — cost, maintenance, feel, and how each one holds up day to day — before anyone commits to a plan.
Most people who ask about full arch implants fall into one of a few situations: they're wearing a denture they dislike, they have several failing teeth that can't be saved predictably, or they've been told their remaining teeth need extraction. Advanced gum disease, extensive decay, old failing restorations, and cracked or broken-down teeth all commonly lead to this conversation.
Candidacy comes down to bone volume, gum health, and general health. Thin or resorbed bone doesn't automatically disqualify you — we provide bone grafting and sinus lift surgery when the upper back jaw needs additional support. Active gum disease is treated first with scaling and root planing or periodontal therapy, because implants need a healthy foundation. If you grind or clench, or you've had jaw pain, clicking, or limited opening, we evaluate that too, since those forces affect any restoration.
- A fixed arch that stays in your mouth, without adhesives or nightly soaking
- Chewing function that doesn't depend on tissue support or a palate-covering plate
- Implants that stimulate the jawbone where natural tooth roots used to
- Fewer implants than one-per-tooth replacement, which simplifies treatment
- A planned, single-arch solution rather than repeated repairs on failing teeth
What the Process Looks Like
We begin with a thorough exam, imaging, and a discussion of what you want your teeth to do — eat comfortably, speak clearly, look natural in photographs. From there we map implant positions around your available bone and plan any extractions or grafting needed. Because we also handle oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics in-house, Lady Lake patients generally aren't sent across town to three separate offices to finish one case.
On surgery day, remaining teeth in the arch are removed as needed and the implants are placed. Nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation are available for patients who want to be more relaxed through the appointment. A provisional set of teeth is often attached the same day — the concept behind Teeth In A Day — so you leave with a full arch rather than an empty mouth. Healing then takes several months while bone integrates with the implants. Our on-site dental lab is a real advantage during this phase, since adjustments, repairs, and the final restoration don't wait on an outside lab's schedule.
Aftercare and Long-Term Maintenance
The first days after surgery call for soft foods, careful cleaning around the surgical sites, and following the instructions we give you. We see you for follow-up visits to check healing and comfort, and we adjust the provisional teeth as tissues settle. Once healing is complete, we deliver the final restoration.
Long term, implants need professional implant maintenance just as natural teeth need cleanings. We check the implants, the gum tissue around them, the bridge, and your bite at regular visits, and we'll show you how to clean beneath the arch at home. If something chips or loosens years later, we can address it — and if you ever have a dental emergency, we offer emergency appointments.
Insurance, Payment, and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay patients, and we file claims as a general practice across the specialty services involved in full arch care. Flexible payment plans are available, and we'll go over the sequence and costs before treatment begins.
Lady Lake patients are part of the community we've served from Ocala for over 30 years, and no referral is needed. Call us to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hussein Salifu or Dr. Marco Geris and find out whether full arch implants fit your situation.
