Full Arch Dental Implants in Marion Oaks

If you've been managing a failing upper or lower arch — loose teeth, repeated extractions, a denture that slips every time you eat — you're facing a decision that goes beyond fixing one tooth at a time. Full arch dental implants replace an entire row of teeth using a small number of implants placed in the jawbone, and for many of our Marion Oaks patients, it ends years of patching problems one at a time. Our office has practiced general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry in Ocala for over 30 years, and full arch treatment is one of the areas where our on-site dental lab makes a real difference in how quickly we can work.
A full arch restoration replaces all the teeth in the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both. Instead of placing one implant per missing tooth, we position a set of implants at strategic angles so they can support a single fixed bridge across the whole arch. You may hear this called All-on-4, full mouth dental implants, or Teeth In A Day, depending on the technique and timing. The result is a restoration that stays in place — you don't take it out, and it doesn't rely on adhesive or suction against your gums.
This is different from a conventional complete denture, which rests on the gum tissue, and different from snap-in dentures, which clip onto implants but can still be removed for cleaning. We offer all three, along with implant-supported bridges, because the right answer depends on your bone, your bite, your budget, and how you want to live day to day. Marion Oaks patients who have worn a lower denture for years often tell us chewing is the deciding factor, since the lower arch tends to be the least stable.
Most people who have lost all or nearly all the teeth in an arch — or who are facing that outcome because of advanced gum disease, fractures, or extensive decay — can be evaluated for full arch implants. Candidacy depends largely on bone volume and the health of the surrounding tissue. If the jawbone has thinned after years of tooth loss, we can often rebuild the site with bone grafting or, in the upper back jaw, sinus lift surgery before implants are placed.
Active gum disease needs to be addressed first. We treat it in house with scaling and root planing, periodontal surgery, and laser dentistry as appropriate, and we provide periodontal maintenance afterward. Patients who clench or grind, or who have jaw clicking and facial pain, are also evaluated for TMJ concerns before we commit to a final bite design, since the forces on a full arch restoration matter over the long term.
What the Process Looks Like
Treatment starts with a consultation and exam, including an oral cancer screening and a review of your medical history. We map out the arch, discuss whether one or both jaws are involved, and explain what the timeline realistically looks like for your situation. You don't need a referral to be seen.
- Planning and imaging to assess bone and plan implant positions
- Any needed extractions, simple or surgical, often done the same day as placement
- Implant placement, with nitrous oxide or oral sedation available for comfort
- A provisional set of teeth so you are not without a smile during healing
- A healing period while the implants integrate with the bone
- Fabrication and delivery of the final fixed bridge, supported by our on-site lab
Because our lab is in the building, we handle a great deal of the fabrication and adjustment work ourselves rather than shipping it out. That shortens turnaround on provisional work, repairs, and relines — a practical benefit when you're driving in from Marion Oaks and would rather not make an extra trip.
Aftercare, Cost, and Scheduling from Marion Oaks
Full arch implants are cleaned daily like natural teeth, with attention to the area where the bridge meets the gums. We provide implant maintenance and hygiene visits with our hygienist, check the fit and screws periodically, and make adjustments as needed. If you grind, a night guard protects your investment. Should anything feel loose or uncomfortable between visits, we offer emergency appointments.
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims as a general practice, and we welcome self-pay patients. Flexible payment plans are available, and we'll walk through the phases of treatment so you know what's being billed and when. Marion Oaks residents of all ages are seen here, and we're glad to review your options and give you a straight answer about what's possible.
