Full Mouth Rehabilitation in Lady Lake

When years of patchwork dentistry start catching up with you — a cracked molar here, a failing crown there, teeth that have worn down until your bite feels off — fixing one tooth at a time stops making sense. That's the point where many of our Lady Lake patients ask about rebuilding everything together, in one coordinated plan. Full mouth rehabilitation is exactly that: a thorough, staged restoration of the teeth, gums, and bite so your mouth works as a single healthy system again.
Full mouth rehabilitation, sometimes called full mouth reconstruction, combines several treatments into one plan designed around your specific mouth. Depending on what we find, that plan might include crowns, bridges, onlays, porcelain or composite veneers, root canal therapy, gum disease treatment, extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, or complete and partial dentures. The goal isn't just appearance — it's restoring comfortable chewing, protecting the teeth you still have, and stabilizing a bite that may have been shifting for years.
We've practiced general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry here in Ocala for over 30 years, and Lady Lake patients make up a steady part of our day. Because we handle restorative work, implants, gum therapy, root canals, orthodontics with clear aligners, and prosthodontic services under one roof, you aren't bounced between several offices to assemble a plan. Our team — Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris — keeps the whole case in one place, which matters when a rebuild involves multiple phases over several months.
Most people who pursue full mouth rehabilitation have more than one problem happening at once. You may recognize yourself in a few of these situations: severe wear from grinding, multiple missing teeth that have let neighboring teeth drift, advanced gum disease that has loosened the foundation, old fillings and crowns that keep failing, or a long-standing jaw problem that makes chewing uncomfortable.
- Widespread tooth wear, chipping, or shortened front teeth
- Several missing teeth, or a failing denture or partial that no longer fits
- Repeated crown, bridge, or filling failures across the mouth
- Gum disease that needs treatment before any restoration can last
- Jaw clicking, locking, limited movement, or jaw-related headaches
- A bite that feels "off," uneven, or painful when you chew
Candidacy is decided after an exam, not over the phone. We evaluate your teeth, gums, bone, and jaw joints, including an oral cancer screening, and talk through what you want out of treatment. Some patients need periodontal therapy such as scaling and root planing or gum grafting first. Others need bone grafting or a sinus lift before implants are possible. If jaw pain is part of the picture, we address TMJ/TMD therapy so we're rebuilding onto a stable, comfortable bite rather than around a problem.
How The Process Works
We begin with a comprehensive exam and consultation, including cosmetic smile-design discussion when appearance is a priority. From there we map a sequence: stabilize first, then rebuild, then refine. Stabilizing can mean treating gum disease, performing root canal therapy on infected teeth — including retreatments and cracked-tooth cases — or removing teeth that can't be saved, with simple or surgical extractions and wisdom teeth removal as needed.
The rebuilding phase is where our on-site dental lab changes the experience. Having the lab in the building means same-day crowns, same-day dentures, and denture repairs without long waits or extra trips from Lady Lake. For tooth replacement, we offer single dental implants, implant-supported bridges, implant-supported and snap-in dentures, All-on-4 and full arch implants, and Teeth In A Day options. If crowding or alignment is contributing to the problem, Invisalign and clear aligners can be built into the plan. For comfort during longer appointments, nitrous oxide and oral sedation are available. And because we offer emergency appointments, a surprise along the way doesn't derail your progress.
Aftercare, Scheduling, And Payment
Once your rebuild is complete, keeping it is mostly about routine. We'll set you up with periodontal maintenance or regular cleanings with our hygienist, exams to monitor restorations, implant maintenance for anyone with implants, and a night guard if grinding was part of what wore your teeth down originally. Sports guards are available for younger family members, and we see all ages, so the whole household can be seen in one place.
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims as a general practice, including for implant, periodontal, endodontic, and prosthodontic care. Self-pay patients are welcome, and flexible payment plans let you spread a multi-phase rebuild over time. Before treatment begins, we'll walk Lady Lake patients through the full sequence, the appointments involved, and the costs — so you can decide with clear information rather than guesswork.
