Teeth In A Day in Lady Lake

Teeth In A Day in Lady Lake

Imagine you've been nursing a loose partial for years, avoiding crusty bread and corn on the cob, and your dentist tells you the remaining teeth can't be saved. For many of our Lady Lake patients, that moment feels like the end of a road. In reality, it's often the beginning of a much better one. Teeth In A Day lets you have failing teeth removed and leave the same appointment with a full, fixed set of teeth secured to dental implants — no gap period, no months of going without a smile.

Teeth In A Day is a full arch dental implant treatment. Rather than replacing each missing tooth with its own implant, we place a small number of implants into the jawbone at strategic angles and attach a complete arch of teeth to them. Because the implants are anchored into bone, the new teeth stay put. They don't rock, slip, or need adhesive, and they're cleaned in place like natural teeth rather than taken out at night.

The "in a day" part refers to the fact that you don't walk around toothless while your mouth heals. Extractions, implant placement, and attachment of a fixed provisional arch all happen in one surgical visit. Our on-site dental lab is a real advantage here — having lab capability under our own roof is what has allowed us to offer same-day crowns, dentures, and denture repairs for years, and it keeps full-arch cases moving without waiting on an outside facility. This same approach is often called All-on-4 or full mouth dental implants, and it can be done on the upper arch, the lower arch, or both.

Good candidates are usually adults who have lost most or all of the teeth in an arch, or who have remaining teeth that are failing from advanced gum disease, decay, or fracture. We also see Lady Lake patients who still have teeth but are exhausted by repeated repairs, and long-time denture wearers who are tired of relines, sore spots, and a plate covering the roof of the mouth.

The main requirement is enough healthy bone to hold implants securely. If bone volume is thin, that isn't automatically a no — we perform bone grafting and sinus lift surgery, and we can plan those steps around your implant treatment. Active gum infection is treated first, since healthy tissue supports better results. We'll also review your medical history, medications, and habits like nighttime clenching, which may call for a night guard afterward. If Teeth In A Day isn't the right fit, we'll tell you plainly and walk through alternatives such as implant-supported dentures, snap-in dentures, implant-supported bridges, or conventional complete and partial dentures.

What the Process Looks Like

Everything starts with a consultation and exam, including imaging to evaluate bone and plan implant positions. We'll talk through your goals, whether that's eating comfortably again or a cosmetic smile design, and we'll explain exactly what surgery day involves before you commit to anything.

Here's the general path for most patients:

  • Consultation and planning — exam, imaging, health review, and a clear treatment plan with costs
  • Any preparatory care — gum disease treatment, bone grafting, or sinus lift if needed
  • Surgery day — extractions, implant placement, and attachment of a fixed provisional arch
  • Healing period — several months while the implants integrate with bone, with follow-up checks
  • Final restoration — your definitive arch is fabricated and secured in place

For comfort during surgery, we offer nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation dentistry. We discuss those options ahead of time so you know what to expect and can arrange a ride home if sedation is used.

Healing, Aftercare, and Keeping Your New Teeth Healthy

The first week calls for soft foods, prescribed rinses or medications, and rest. Swelling and tenderness are normal and ease steadily. We schedule follow-up visits to check healing and adjust your provisional arch as tissues settle. If anything feels off between appointments, call us — we keep room for emergency dental appointments.

Long term, implant-supported teeth need the same consistency as natural ones: daily cleaning around the implants, regular visits with our hygienist, and implant maintenance appointments so we can monitor the tissue and hardware. Many Lady Lake patients fold these into the routine cleanings and exams they already come to us for.

Cost, Insurance, and Getting Started

Full-arch treatment is an investment, and we believe in talking about money early, not at checkout. After your consultation we provide a written plan so you can see what's included before deciding.

We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims as a General Practitioner, and we welcome self-pay patients. Flexible payment plans are available to spread the cost over time. Lady Lake patients don't need a referral to be seen — you're welcome to call and schedule a consultation with Dr. Salifu or Dr. Geris directly. Our team has cared for Central Florida families for more than 30 years, and we're glad to answer your questions before you decide anything.
