Full Mouth Dental Implants in The Villages

If you're living in The Villages and your dentures slip at dinner, or you're facing the prospect of losing the last of your failing teeth, you're weighing a decision that affects every meal, every conversation, and every photo. Full mouth dental implants replace an entire arch — or both arches — of missing or failing teeth with a set of permanently anchored replacement teeth. For many of the patients we see from The Villages, it's the difference between managing a mouth full of problems year after year and simply being done with them.
Full mouth dental implants use titanium posts placed into the jawbone to serve as the roots for a full arch of teeth. Instead of one implant per tooth, a planned number of implants — often four, as in the All-on-4 approach — support a single fixed bridge that restores the whole arch. The replacement teeth either stay in place permanently or, with implant-supported dentures and snap-in designs, attach securely to the implants and can be removed for cleaning. Which option fits you depends on your bone, your bite, your budget, and how you want to care for your teeth day to day.
This is different from a conventional denture resting on the gums. Because the implants integrate with the bone, they transmit chewing forces the way natural roots do, which helps preserve the jawbone that otherwise shrinks after tooth loss. We handle the surgical placement, the restorative work, and the laboratory side under one roof — our on-site dental lab means fabrication and adjustments happen here rather than being shipped out and waited on, which matters when you're coordinating a multi-visit treatment from The Villages.
- Teeth that stay put when you eat corn on the cob, steak, or anything else you've been avoiding
- No adhesives, no palate coverage, and no denture rocking while you talk
- Support for the jawbone, which helps maintain facial shape over time
- A single, coordinated plan instead of repeated repairs on failing teeth
- Cleaning that fits into a normal routine — brushing, flossing or water flossing, and regular maintenance visits
Good candidates are adults who have lost most or all of their teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth are compromised by advanced gum disease, decay, fracture, or long-term wear. Smokers, people with uncontrolled diabetes, and patients taking certain medications need a careful conversation first, because those factors affect healing. Having thin or resorbed bone doesn't automatically disqualify you — bone grafting and sinus lift surgery are both available here and are commonly used to build a foundation strong enough to hold implants.
What the Treatment Process Looks Like
It starts with a thorough exam, imaging, and a frank discussion of what you want from your teeth. We map out which teeth need to come out, whether grafting is needed, how many implants your arch requires, and what your temporary teeth will look like while healing happens. You'll know the sequence and the approximate number of visits before anything begins.
Surgery day usually combines extractions, any grafting, and implant placement in one appointment. Nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation are available for patients who want to be more relaxed through it. In many cases a provisional set of teeth goes on the same day — the Teeth in a Day approach — so you don't leave without teeth. Over the following months the implants fuse with the bone, and once healing is confirmed, we fabricate and fit the final restoration. For patients traveling from The Villages, we try to group appointments sensibly so you're not making unnecessary trips.
Aftercare, Maintenance, and Long-Term Support
The first week or two calls for soft foods, prescribed rinses, and gentle cleaning around the surgical sites. We'll see you for follow-ups to check healing and adjust the temporary teeth if anything rubs. Most people are surprised at how manageable the recovery is compared to what they expected.
Long term, implants need the same consistency natural teeth do. We provide implant maintenance and periodontal care to keep the tissue around each post healthy, and because our lab is here, relines, repairs, and adjustments are handled quickly. The Villages patients who already see us for cleanings simply fold implant checks into those visits.
Insurance, Payment, and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and work with self-pay patients, and we offer flexible payment plans so a full-arch case can be spread out rather than paid all at once. We'll go over the estimate in writing before treatment begins.
Ocala Dental Care has served this region for over 30 years, and Dr. Hussein Salifu and Dr. Marco Geris see patients of all ages from The Villages, Lady Lake, Oxford, Summerfield, and the surrounding communities. No referral is needed — call to schedule a consultation and we'll tell you honestly whether full mouth implants are the right fit.
